Dion Vla­chos of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Delaware has received the Richard H. Wil­helm Award in Chem­i­cal Reac­tion Engi­neer­ing for “pio­neer­ing work on mul­ti­scale mod­el­ing and appli­ca­tion to devel­op­ment, design, and elu­ci­da­tion of cat­alyt­ic reac­tion mech­a­nisms, com­pu­ta­tion­al mate­ri­als design, and renew­able ener­gy”.

Enrique Igle­sia of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cal­i­for­nia at Berke­ley has received the Alpha Chi Sig­ma Award for Excel­lence in Chem­i­cal Engi­neer­ing Research for ” his out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tions to the sci­ence and devel­op­ment of cat­a­lysts and for his lead­er­ship in the field of catal­y­sis”.
