Each feed\u00adstock, how\u00adev\u00ader, pos\u00ades spe\u00adcif\u00adic chal\u00adlenges: chal\u00adlenges that occur across the flow-sheet par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in purifi\u00adca\u00adtion and Syn\u00adGas gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion. The glob\u00adal oper\u00adat\u00ading envi\u00adron\u00adment requires new tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies to be robust and cap\u00adi\u00adtal inten\u00adsive while increas\u00ading the aware\u00adness of, and empha\u00adsis on, sus\u00adtain\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty requir\u00ading inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive solu\u00adtions to min\u00adi\u00admize emis\u00adsions of green\u00adhouse gas\u00ades.<\/p>\n<p>The pro\u00adduc\u00adtion of liq\u00aduid hydro\u00adcar\u00adbons from Syn\u00adGas is com\u00admon\u00adly referred to by the names of the inven\u00adtors, Fis\u00adch\u00ader and Trop\u00adsch, and hence as Fis\u00adch\u00ader-Trop\u00adsch (FT) catal\u00ady\u00adsis. FT tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy dates back to the ear\u00adly 20th cen\u00adtu\u00adry but is being \u201cre-invent\u00aded\u201d for 21st cen\u00adtu\u00adry needs and mar\u00adkets.<\/p>\n<p>This pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion will pro\u00advide a brief overview of key tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies across the Syn\u00adGas flow\u00adsheet: cat\u00ada\u00adlysts and process and the require\u00adment to inte\u00adgrate. Fis\u00adch\u00ader-Trop\u00adsch catal\u00ady\u00adsis will be high\u00adlight\u00aded and a his\u00adtoric per\u00adspec\u00adtive pre\u00adsent\u00aded.
