On behalf of the exec\u00adu\u00adtive com\u00admit\u00adtee, I wel\u00adcome you to par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpate in our planned activ\u00adi\u00adties for this sea\u00adson. High\u00adlights of this meet\u00ading include;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pro\u00adgrams<\/strong> \u2014 The month\u00adly din\u00adner meet\u00adings for this sea\u00adson will con\u00adsist of a lec\u00adture by the fea\u00adtured after din\u00adner speak\u00ader and will also include a brief pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion by a local grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addent or post doc. A joint meet\u00ading with the Met\u00adro\u00adpol\u00adi\u00adtan New York Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Soci\u00adety will be held in Novem\u00adber (at the Bucks Coun\u00adty Sher\u00ada\u00adton, Lang\u00adhorne, PA). This sea\u00adson the annu\u00adal stu\u00addent poster ses\u00adsion will be held in March, and the Spring Sym\u00adpo\u00adsium in May will be held at the same loca\u00adtion as the month\u00adly meet\u00adings (Hol\u00adi\u00adday Inn Select, Wilm\u00ading\u00adton).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dues<\/strong> \u2014 The 2006\u20132007 sea\u00adson will again be $10.00 ($5.00 for the local club and $5.00 to the nation\u00adal club).  Dues for stu\u00addents will be $6.00. Please pay your dues to your com\u00adpa\u00adny rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive or to our trea\u00adsur\u00ader, Steve Har\u00adris (<a href=\"mailto:stephen.harris@lyondell.com\">stephen.\u200bharris@\u200blyondell.\u200bcom<\/a>). Steve will accept dues pay\u00adments at the month\u00adly meet\u00adings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Din\u00adner Fees and Reser\u00adva\u00adtions<\/strong> -The cost of the din\u00adner to our mem\u00adbers will be $30.00 (stu\u00addents and retirees, $15.00) and will include one drink dur\u00ading the social hour.  After one drink, the bar will serve as a cash bar dur\u00ading the social hour. Walk-in and non-mem\u00adbers din\u00adner fees will be $35. We strong\u00adly encour\u00adage mem\u00adbers to make advanced reser\u00adva\u00adtions for the month\u00adly meet\u00adings.  Although the club will con\u00adtin\u00adue its pol\u00adi\u00adcy of allow\u00ading walk-in atten\u00addees, the hotel can\u00adnot guar\u00adan\u00adtee that they will have enough meals to accom\u00admo\u00addate a large num\u00adber of walk-ins.  Please help us by mak\u00ading advanced reser\u00adva\u00adtions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtions<\/strong> \u2014 We will con\u00adtin\u00adue to take advan\u00adtage of e-mail cor\u00adre\u00adspon\u00addence, instead of hard-copy announce\u00adments for our meet\u00adings. Hong-Xin is updat\u00ading our data\u00adbase of e-mail address\u00ades to try to include every\u00adone. We encour\u00adage you to vis\u00adit this site to review past and future activ\u00adi\u00adties of our club and oth\u00ader items of inter\u00adest to the catal\u00ady\u00adsis com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty (i.e. con\u00adfer\u00adences and links to oth\u00ader catal\u00ady\u00adsis orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions).
