The Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Soci\u00adety of Met\u00adro\u00adpol\u00adi\u00adtan New York is seek\u00ading nom\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtions for its twen\u00adty-sixth annu\u00adal \u201cAward for Excel\u00adlence in Catal\u00ady\u00adsis\u201d. The award, spon\u00adsored by Exxon\u00adMo\u00adbil Research and Engi\u00adneer\u00ading Com\u00adpa\u00adny, con\u00adsists of a plaque and a $1,500 gift. It is grant\u00aded to an indi\u00advid\u00adual or a research team from North Amer\u00adi\u00adca to rec\u00adog\u00adnize out\u00adstand\u00ading con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtions in either applied or basic research in either homo\u00adge\u00adneous or het\u00adero\u00adge\u00adneous catal\u00ady\u00adsis. Par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar effort is made to iden\u00adti\u00adfy wor\u00adthy indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adals or teams who have not received suf\u00adfi\u00adcient recog\u00adni\u00adtion for their work.<\/p>\n

This award will bring due recog\u00adni\u00adtion to the recipient(s), and we appre\u00adci\u00adate your help in seek\u00ading first-rate can\u00addi\u00addates. We espe\u00adcial\u00adly need to for\u00adti\u00adfy our active nom\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion list! Nom\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtions are solicit\u00aded from any\u00adone who is cur\u00adrent\u00adly, or has been pre\u00advi\u00adous\u00adly, active in the field of catal\u00ady\u00adsis. Nom\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtions pre\u00advi\u00adous\u00adly sub\u00admit\u00adted as well as new ones will remain active for a peri\u00adod of three years.<\/p>\n

Those wish\u00ading to sub\u00admit a nom\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion should write a let\u00adter of rec\u00adom\u00admen\u00adda\u00adtion for the indi\u00advid\u00adual nom\u00adi\u00adnee or team, includ\u00ading per\u00adti\u00adnent bio\u00adgraph\u00adi\u00adcal infor\u00adma\u00adtion and a spe\u00adcif\u00adic descrip\u00adtion of the impact of the nominee\u2019s achieve\u00adments in catal\u00ady\u00adsis. The max\u00adi\u00admum length of the let\u00adter should be no more than two pages. It may be accom\u00adpa\u00adnied by copies of no more than two items pre\u00adsent\u00ading impor\u00adtant doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion, such as papers or patents.<\/p>\n
