While hydro\u00adgena\u00adtion sites are more active for desul\u00adfu\u00adr\u00adiz\u00ading refrac\u00adto\u00adry&nbsp;sul\u00adfur species, they are more vul\u00adner\u00ada\u00adble to organon\u00adi\u00adtro\u00adgen inhi\u00adbi\u00adtion than hydrogenol\u00ady\u00adsis sites.&nbsp;In con\u00adtrast, hydrogenol\u00ady\u00adsis sites are less active for desul\u00adfu\u00adr\u00adiz\u00ading refrac\u00adto\u00adry sul\u00adfur species but are&nbsp;more resis\u00adtant to organon\u00adi\u00adtro\u00adgen inhi\u00adbi\u00adtion. This dichoto\u00admy is exploit\u00aded to devel\u00adop an ultra-deep&nbsp;hydrodesul\u00adfu\u00adr\u00adiza\u00adtion stacked-bed reac\u00adtor com\u00adpris\u00ading two cat\u00ada\u00adlysts of dif\u00adfer\u00adent char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adis\u00adtics.&nbsp;The per\u00adfor\u00admance of this cat\u00ada\u00adlyst sys\u00adtem can be supe\u00adri\u00ador or infe\u00adri\u00ador to that of either cat\u00ada\u00adlyst alone.&nbsp;A the\u00ado\u00adry is devel\u00adoped to pre\u00addict the opti\u00admum stack\u00ading con\u00adfig\u00adu\u00adra\u00adtion for max\u00adi\u00admum syn\u00ader\u00adgies&nbsp;between the two cat\u00ada\u00adlysts.
