These OSDAs com\u00adbine a cyclic part and a short alkyl-chain group (pref\u00ader\u00aden\u00adtial\u00adly C4) and, depend\u00ading on the size and nature of the cyclic frag\u00adment, the crys\u00adtal\u00adliza\u00adtion of dif\u00adfer\u00adent zeo\u00adlites can be con\u00adtrolled. The cat\u00adalyt\u00adic prop\u00ader\u00adties of the achieved nano\u00adsized zeolitic mate\u00adri\u00adals have been eval\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded for the methanol-to-olefins and olefin oligomer\u00adiza\u00adtion reac\u00adtions [1].<br>\nOn the oth\u00ader hand, the effi\u00adcient syn\u00adthe\u00adsis of the small-pore CHA and AEI zeo\u00adlites with nano\u00adsized crys\u00adtals (20\u201450 nm) has also been obtained fol\u00adlow\u00ading zeo\u00adlite-to-zeo\u00adlite trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion pro\u00adce\u00addures, where high-sil\u00adi\u00adca FAU mate\u00adri\u00adals have been used as sil\u00adi\u00adcon and alu\u00adminum pre\u00adcur\u00adsors [2]. The nano\u00adsized small pore zeo\u00adlites have been eval\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded for the methanol-to-olefin reac\u00adtion, observ\u00ading that their cat\u00ada\u00adlyst life\u00adtimes are remark\u00adably longer than the cat\u00ada\u00adlyst life\u00adtimes observed for con\u00adven\u00adtion\u00adal small pore zeo\u00adlites. In addi\u00adtion, the selec\u00adtiv\u00adi\u00adty towards dif\u00adfer\u00adent light olefins, i.e. propy\u00adlene and\/or eth\u00adyl\u00adene, can be max\u00adi\u00admized depend\u00ading on the crys\u00adtalline struc\u00adture of the nano\u00adsized zeo\u00adlites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ref\u00ader\u00adences:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>(a) E.M. After\u00adward, he com\u00adplet\u00aded a two-year post\u00addoc (2008\u20132010) with Prof. Mark Davis at the Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia Insti\u00adtute of Tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy (Cal\u00adtech, USA).<br>\nHe is a Tenured Sci\u00aden\u00adtist of the Span\u00adish Nation\u00adal Research Coun\u00adcil (CSIC) since 2014, where his research lies at the inter\u00adface of het\u00adero\u00adge\u00adneous catal\u00ady\u00adsis and mate\u00adri\u00adals design.<br>\nManuel Molin\u00ader has pub\u00adlished 70 papers in inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal jour\u00adnals, and is co-inven\u00adtor of 24 inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal patents (14 trans\u00adferred to indus\u00adtry).
