Typ\u00adi\u00adcal com\u00admer\u00adcial methane oxi\u00adda\u00adtion cat\u00ada\u00adlysts are alu\u00admi\u00adna-sup\u00adport\u00aded pal\u00adla\u00addi\u00adum cat\u00ada\u00adlysts. When oper\u00adat\u00aded at low tem\u00adper\u00ada\u00adtures, these cat\u00ada\u00adlysts exhib\u00adit rapid deac\u00adti\u00adva\u00adtions on stream due to water inhi\u00adbi\u00adtion. In addi\u00adtion, these Pd-cat\u00ada\u00adlysts are sen\u00adsi\u00adtive to sul\u00adfur poi\u00adson\u00ading, even with the pres\u00adence of a trace amount (\u2264 1 ppm) of SO<sub>2<\/sub> in the feed. Among oth\u00ader oxide mate\u00adri\u00adals, zeo\u00adlites were also inves\u00adti\u00adgat\u00aded as a poten\u00adtial sup\u00adport for pal\u00adla\u00addi\u00adum \u2013 such as the effects of frame\u00adworks and exchange or impreg\u00adna\u00adtion meth\u00adods \u2013 but no sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant ben\u00ade\u00adfits were dis\u00adcov\u00adered in the past com\u00adpar\u00ading to con\u00adven\u00adtion\u00adal alu\u00admi\u00adna-based cat\u00ada\u00adlysts. Here, we demon\u00adstrate the appli\u00adca\u00adtion of siliceous zeo\u00adlites (i.e. SiO<sub>2<\/sub>-to-Al<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>3<\/sub> ratio (SAR) &gt;1200) as Pd-sup\u00adport, the result\u00ading cat\u00ada\u00adlysts exhib\u00adit sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly improved activ\u00adi\u00adty and on-stream dura\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty at low tem\u00adper\u00ada\u00adtures, and are able to be regen\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded from sul\u00adfur poi\u00adson\u00ading under real\u00adis\u00adtic oper\u00adat\u00ading con\u00addi\u00adtions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biog\u00adra\u00adphy<\/strong> \u2014 Jing Lu received his B.S. degree in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia, San\u00adta Bar\u00adbara.
