As a result of these devel\u00adop\u00adments, frame\u00adwork met\u00adal-con\u00adtain\u00ading zeo\u00adlites have been imple\u00adment\u00aded in the pre\u00adced\u00ading decade in new com\u00admer\u00adcial, byprod\u00aduct-free green process\u00ades, which have improved sus\u00adtain\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty in the chem\u00adi\u00adcal indus\u00adtry. Based on a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive analy\u00adsis of the recent lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adture includ\u00ading patents, this review is a sum\u00adma\u00adry of the cur\u00adrent knowl\u00adedge of the sci\u00adence and tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy of frame\u00adwork met\u00adal-con\u00adtain\u00ading mol\u00ade\u00adc\u00adu\u00adlar sieves. The syn\u00adthe\u00adsis of these mate\u00adri\u00adals is sum\u00adma\u00adrized, fol\u00adlowed by an account of state-of-the-art char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adi\u00adza\u00adtion meth\u00adods.
