I am pleased to announce the results of the elec\u00adtions below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair Elect \u2013 Mark Kamin\u00adsky<\/li>\n<li>Trea\u00adsur\u00ader \u2013 Stephen Har\u00adris<\/li>\n<li>Direc\u00adtor \u2013 Haim\u00ading Liu<\/li>\n<li>Direc\u00adtor \u2013 Micheal Smith<\/li>\n<li>Direc\u00adtor \u2013 Qi Sun<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unfor\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly in June, Mark Kamin\u00adsky informed the Exec\u00adu\u00adtive Com\u00admit\u00adtee that he has accept\u00aded a job oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty with\u00adin Lyon\u00addell Chem\u00adi\u00adcal and will be trans\u00adfer\u00ading to Texas in August 2007 and there\u00adfore can\u00adnot ful\u00adfill the respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties of the Chair Elect of the Club. The Exec\u00adu\u00adtive Com\u00admit\u00adtee, instead of call\u00ading for a new spe\u00adcial gen\u00ader\u00adal elec\u00adtion, unaminous\u00adly agreed that the posi\u00adtion of Chair Elect could be filled  by the can\u00addi\u00addate who received the sec\u00adond most votes for Chair Elect in the April elec\u00adtion. Con\u00adse\u00adquent\u00adly, Hai-Ying Chen has accept\u00aded the posi\u00adtion and is the new 2007\u20132008 Chair Elect of the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia.<\/p>\n<p>Accord\u00ading to the bylaws, the fol\u00adlow\u00ading offi\u00adcers auto\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly fill the posi\u00adtions as list\u00aded below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair \u2013 Edrick Morales<\/li>\n<li>Past Chair \u2013 Roger Grey<\/li>\n<li>Rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive to the North Amer\u00adi\u00adcan Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Soci\u00adety \u2013 Anne Gaffney<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Edrick Morales, as Chair, appoint\u00aded Carl Men\u00adning, Joseph Fedeyko and Bjorn Mod\u00aden to the posi\u00adtions of Arrange\u00adments Chair, Pro\u00adgram Chair and Sec\u00adre\u00adtary, respec\u00adtive\u00adly.<\/p>\n<p>The new Exec\u00adu\u00adtive Com\u00admit\u00adtee terms com\u00admence the first day of June, 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The Exec\u00adu\u00adtive Com\u00admit\u00adtee wish\u00ades to thank Xio Chen, Ist\u00advan Halasz, Mahesh Kon\u00adduru, and Hong-Xin Li for their past ser\u00advice to the Club as they leave their pos\u00adtions on  the Exec\u00adu\u00adtive Com\u00admit\u00adtee.<br>\n<br>\n<em>Roger Grey<\/em><br>\nPast Chair<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia held its annu\u00adal elec\u00adtions for the 2007\u20132008 Club offi\u00adcers at the April 19th gen\u00ader\u00adal meet\u00ading.
