We are proud to con\u00adtin\u00adue the lega\u00adcy set forth by the orig\u00adi\u00adnal 7 sci\u00aden\u00adtists who estab\u00adlished this club in 1949 of hold\u00ading meet\u00adings to stim\u00adu\u00adlate dis\u00adcus\u00adsions among the aca\u00add\u00ade\u00adm\u00adic and indus\u00adtri\u00adal catal\u00ady\u00adsis sci\u00aden\u00adtists in the greater Philadel\u00adphia area. We are excit\u00aded to announce the speak\u00ader line\u00adup for our month\u00adly meet\u00adings that has been coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00aded by Tor\u00adren Carl\u00adson of DuPont. Fol\u00adlow\u00ading our tra\u00addi\u00adtion, the first meet\u00ading of the sea\u00adson will be giv\u00aden by the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia Awardee, Daniel Resas\u00adco of Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Okla\u00adhoma, present his work on Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 19th<\/span>, 2013. Below is the speak\u00ader sched\u00adule for the 2013\u201314 sea\u00adson along with the spe\u00adcial events that will occur through\u00adout the year. <\/p>\n Our annu\u00adal stu\u00addent poster com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adtion will take place in Octo\u00adber and will be coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00aded by Ale\u00adjan\u00addra Rivas-Car\u00addona of John\u00adson Matthey. The poster ses\u00adsion pro\u00advides a great oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty for local grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addents to present their work to a broad catal\u00ady\u00adsis audi\u00adence and for com\u00adpa\u00adnies to look for poten\u00adtial can\u00addi\u00addates. The nom\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtions of CCP offi\u00adcers for the 2014\u201315 sea\u00adson will take place in Feb\u00adru\u00adary with elec\u00adtions sched\u00aduled for April. Vladimiros Niko\u00adlakis of Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Delaware will orga\u00adnize the CCP Spring Sym\u00adpo\u00adsium in May 2014. We will also con\u00adtin\u00adue the tra\u00addi\u00adtion of hav\u00ading brief pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions by a local grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addent pri\u00ador to the main lec\u00adture at some of the month\u00adly meet\u00adings. <\/p>\n The month\u00adly meet\u00adings will con\u00adtin\u00adue to be held at the Dou\u00adble\u00adtree Hotel on US-202 in Wilm\u00ading\u00adton, DE. The cost of the din\u00adner will remain at $35.00 for mem\u00adbers, $20.00 for students\/retirees and will include one drink dur\u00ading the social hour. The fees for walk-ins and non-mem\u00adbers will be $40.00. We strong\u00adly encour\u00adage advance reser\u00adva\u00adtions for the meet\u00adings. Dues for the 2013\u201314 sea\u00adson will remain at $25.00 ($5.00 for the local club and $20.00 to the nation\u00adal club).
