Before join\u00ading CCEI he was a Prin\u00adci\u00adpal Researcher at the Insti\u00adtute of Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading <span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span> High Tem\u00adper\u00ada\u00adture Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Process\u00ades (FORTH\/ICE-HT), Greece. Dr. Smith returned to school to obtain a Mas\u00adters at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty, and obtained his PhD in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Delaware in 2004 work\u00ading with Prof Raul Lobo. Since he has work as a research sci\u00aden\u00adtist for an SBIR start\u00adup, and has been at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva since 2006, first as a Vis\u00adit\u00ading Assis\u00adtant Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor, then in a tenure track posi\u00adtion since 2008. In 2008 he received his PhD in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal and Bio\u00admol\u00ade\u00adc\u00adu\u00adlar Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Penn\u00adsyl\u00adva\u00adnia under the guid\u00adance of Prof. Ray\u00admond J. He obtained his Ph.D. also in organometal\u00adlic chem\u00adistry from Rut\u00adgers, the State Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of New Jer\u00adsey at New Brunswick in 2005 work\u00ading with Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Alan Gold\u00adman. He then did post\u00addoc\u00adtor\u00adal research in Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Geoff Coates\u2019 lab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adto\u00adry at Cor\u00adnell Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty. Dr. Zhang start\u00aded his career in indus\u00adtry in 2008.
