\nWel\u00adcome to the 60th<\/sup> sea\u00adson of the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia. Since the club was found\u00aded in 1949, we con\u00adtin\u00adue the tra\u00addi\u00adtion of hold\u00ading reg\u00adu\u00adlar meet\u00adings in catal\u00ady\u00adsis to stim\u00adu\u00adlate dis\u00adcus\u00adsions among our fel\u00adlow sci\u00aden\u00adtists. Fol\u00adlow\u00ading the path, your offi\u00adcers, list\u00aded on the left col\u00adumn, have assem\u00adbled a pro\u00adgram of activ\u00adi\u00adties for the 2008-09 sea\u00adson and seek to pro\u00advide a myr\u00adi\u00adad of stim\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading and enjoy\u00adable tech\u00adni\u00adcal meet\u00adings. We hope that you will join us by reg\u00adis\u00adter\u00ading as a mem\u00adber of the club for the new sea\u00adson and enjoy the pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions.<\/p>\n

The pro\u00adgram includes a joint meet\u00ading with the Wilm\u00ading\u00adton area sec\u00adtion of AIChE in Octo\u00adber. Our annu\u00adal stu\u00addent poster ses\u00adsion will be coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00aded by Joseph Fedeyko (John\u00adson Matthey) and held in March. Michael A. Smith (Vil\u00adlano\u00adva Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty) will orga\u00adnize the Spring Sym\u00adpo\u00adsium in May. As intro\u00adduced in the past cou\u00adple of years, we will con\u00adtin\u00adue to have a brief pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion by a local grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addent or post-doc pri\u00ador to the main lec\u00adture at some of the month\u00adly meet\u00adings.<\/p>\n

Dues for the 2008-09 sea\u00adson will remain at $10.00 ($5.00 for the local club and $5.00 to the nation\u00adal club). Dues for stu\u00addents will be $6.00. You can pay your dues to your com\u00adpa\u00adny rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive, to our trea\u00adsur\u00ader (Steve Har\u00adris), or at the month\u00adly meet\u00adings. A list of com\u00adpa\u00adny rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtives is avail\u00adable at catal\u200by\u200bsis\u200bclubphilly\u200b.org\/\u200bc\u200bo\u200bm\u200bp\u200bR\u200be\u200bp\u200b.\u200bphp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cost of the din\u00adner will again be $30.00 for mem\u00adbers, $15.00 for students\/retirees and will include one drink dur\u00ading the social hour. Walk-ins and non-mem\u00adbers din\u00adner fees will be $35.00. We strong\u00adly encour\u00adage advance reser\u00adva\u00adtions for the meet\u00adings.<\/p>\n
