\nAbstract<\/strong> \u2014 Pho\u00adto\u00adcat\u00adalyt\u00adic prod\u00aducts have been around for many years with use in numer\u00adous appli\u00adca\u00adtions. Pho\u00adto\u00adcat\u00adalyt\u00adic TiO2 is being used today in air purifi\u00adca\u00adtion devices and as sur\u00adface treat\u00adment and addi\u00adtive in ceram\u00adics, cement, trans\u00adporta\u00adtion infra\u00adstruc\u00adture and glass. These prod\u00aducts are being uti\u00adlized or eval\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded for their de-pol\u00adlu\u00adtion, self-clean\u00ading, anti-fun\u00adgal, and envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal improve\u00adment attrib\u00adut\u00ades. Pho\u00adto\u00adcat\u00adalyt\u00adic coat\u00adings are one of the tools we have which can be used to com\u00adbat the air qual\u00adi\u00adty issues. Many tri\u00adals have been car\u00adried out using pho\u00adto\u00adcat\u00adalyt\u00adic prod\u00aducts. For the first time, tri\u00adals have shown, quan\u00adti\u00adta\u00adtive\u00adly, the de-pol\u00adlu\u00adtion effect using chemil\u00adlu\u00admi\u00adnes\u00adcence mon\u00adi\u00adtors over extend\u00aded peri\u00adods. This allows unam\u00adbigu\u00adous sta\u00adtis\u00adti\u00adcal analy\u00adsis which proves the tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy is a cost effec\u00adtive prac\u00adti\u00adcal solu\u00adtion to inner city pol\u00adlu\u00adtion prob\u00adlems. In this pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion we eval\u00adu\u00adate the effi\u00adcien\u00adcy of two types of pho\u00adto\u00adcat\u00adalyt\u00adic prod\u00aducts with respect to the removal of haz\u00adardous NOx pol\u00adlu\u00adtion: pho\u00adto\u00adcat\u00adalyt\u00adic paints and trans\u00adpar\u00adent clear coat\u00adings for con\u00adcrete sur\u00adfaces. The set\u00adting of impor\u00adtant field test tri\u00adals and the cor\u00adre\u00adspond\u00ading results are ana\u00adlyzed and pre\u00adsent\u00aded in details in this lec\u00adture.
