The Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia (CCP) is tak\u00ading appli\u00adca\u00adtions for the Theodore A. Koch Trav\u00adel Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award is spon\u00adsored in\nmem\u00ado\u00adry of T.A. Koch in order to rec\u00adog\u00adnize and reward grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addent\nachieve\u00adments in catal\u00ady\u00adsis research. T.A. Koch (1925\u20132014) was a chemist who\nworked at DuPont, and spent his entire career devel\u00adop\u00ading chem\u00adi\u00adcal process\u00ades and\nbring\u00ading them from the bench\u00adtop to com\u00admer\u00adcial\u00adiza\u00adtion with marked cre\u00adativ\u00adi\u00adty and\ntenac\u00adi\u00adty. The award\nwill pro\u00advide finan\u00adcial sup\u00adport to a grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addent up to the amount of $1000\nto attend a con\u00adfer\u00adence of his or her choice.<\/strong><\/em> The amount\ncan be used to cov\u00ader reg\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion fees and\/or trav\u00adel expens\u00ades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eli\u00adgi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty:<\/em> Grad\u00adu\u00adate\nstu\u00addents that are mem\u00adbers of the CCP and have paid the annu\u00adal dues ($10).\nSelec\u00adtion will be based on the poten\u00adtial impact of the trav\u00adel award on the\nstudent\u2019s career goals, finan\u00adcial need, and over\u00adall mer\u00adit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The appli\u00adca\u00adtion form (see link below) is due Feb\u00adru\u00adary 17th, 2020<\/strong><\/em>, and the win\u00adner will be announced at our Feb\u00adru\u00adary 27th meet\u00ading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please send appli\u00adca\u00adtions to Parag Shah (parag.\u200bshah@\u200bpqcorp.\u200bcom<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
