\nBjorn Mod\u00aden<\/strong> \u2014 Bjorn Mod\u00aden is cur\u00adrent\u00adly a Senior Research Engi\u00adneer at Zeolyst Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal at the PQ Cor\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adtion R&<\/span>D cen\u00adter in Con\u00adshohock\u00aden, PA, where he is work\u00ading on zeo\u00adlite devel\u00adop\u00adment for envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal appli\u00adca\u00adtions. He received his Ph. D. in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia, Berke\u00adley under the direc\u00adtion of Enrique Igle\u00adsia in 2006 and his under\u00adgrad\u00adu\u00adate degree in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from the Roy\u00adal Insti\u00adtute of Tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy (KTH), Stock\u00adholm in 2000. Bjorn is cur\u00adrent\u00adly the Spon\u00adsor\u00adship Direc\u00adtor of the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia and was the Sec\u00adre\u00adtary for the club from 2007 to 2010.<\/p>\n

Chuck Coe<\/strong> \u2014 After obtain\u00ading his PhD in inor\u00adgan\u00adic chem\u00adistry from Carnegie Mel\u00adlon Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty, Chuck joined the Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Addi\u00adtives divi\u00adsion of Air Prod\u00aducts and Chem\u00adi\u00adcals Ear\u00adly in Chuck\u2019s career he trans\u00adferred to the cor\u00adpo\u00adrate research group at the com\u00adpa\u00adny head\u00adquar\u00adters where he devel\u00adoped an exten\u00adsive exper\u00adtise in mol\u00ade\u00adc\u00adu\u00adlar sieve sci\u00adence. Before retir\u00ading from Air Prod\u00aducts, Chuck was named a strate\u00adgic tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgist for the Cor\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adtion and pro\u00advid\u00aded inter\u00adnal con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion on a broad range of mate\u00adri\u00adals char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adi\u00adza\u00adtion issues involv\u00ading cat\u00ada\u00adlysts and adsor\u00adbents.<\/p>\n

Chuck has been an active mem\u00adber of the Philadel\u00adphia and NY Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Clubs for over thir\u00adty years. Ear\u00adli\u00ader in his career he served as an offi\u00adcer in the Philadel\u00adphia Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club. He received the 2010 Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia Award.<\/p>\n

Since retir\u00ading, Chuck has joined the Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading fac\u00adul\u00adty at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva as a Vis\u00adit\u00ading Assis\u00adtant Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor and is shar\u00ading his knowl\u00adedge with the next gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of engi\u00adneers and sci\u00aden\u00adtists.

Has 12 years aca\u00add\u00ade\u00adm\u00adic and 21 years indus\u00adtri\u00adal research expe\u00adri\u00adence, main\u00adly relat\u00aded to prod\u00aduct and process devel\u00adop\u00adment for petro\u00adchem\u00adi\u00adcal and fine chem\u00adi\u00adcal indus\u00adtry, mate\u00adri\u00adals char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adi\u00adza\u00adtion, het\u00adero\u00adge\u00adneous catal\u00ady\u00adsis, and sol\u00adid state chem\u00adistry. Stephen Har\u00adris<\/strong> \u2014 Stephen Har\u00adris received a BS in chem\u00adistry from Muh\u00adlen\u00adberg Col\u00adlege and a Ph.D. in phys\u00adi\u00adcal organ\u00adic chem\u00adistry from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Rochester. His inter\u00adests are in process design and opti\u00admiza\u00adtion. He has been Trea\u00adsur\u00ader, Arrange\u00adments Chair, and Mem\u00adber\u00adship Direc\u00adtor for the CCP.

\nAgi Kovacs <\/strong> \u2014 Agnes Derecskei-Kovacs was born and raised in Hun\u00adgary. She grad\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded from the Lajos Kos\u00adsuth Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty in Debre\u00adcen, Hun\u00adgary major\u00ading in Physics and earned her PhD in Atom\u00adic and Mol\u00ade\u00adc\u00adu\u00adlar Physics while work\u00ading for the Depart\u00adment of The\u00ado\u00adret\u00adi\u00adcal Physics at the same uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty. With her hus\u00adband and daugh\u00adter, she came to the US in 1990 and earned a sec\u00adond degree in Math\u00ade\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcal Sciences\/Chemistry at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Texas at Arling\u00adton. After a year of post\u00addoc, she worked for the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Ver\u00admont as a vis\u00adit\u00ading assis\u00adtant pro\u00adfes\u00adsor and for the Texas A&<\/span>M Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty as the Man\u00adag\u00ader of the Lab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adto\u00adry for Mol\u00ade\u00adc\u00adu\u00adlar Sim\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions. Agnes joined Air Prod\u00aducts a year ago work\u00ading for the Com\u00adpu\u00adta\u00adtion\u00adal Mod\u00adel\u00ading Cen\u00adter as a Research Asso\u00adciate. In this role, she is respon\u00adsi\u00adble for the com\u00adpu\u00adta\u00adtion\u00adal chem\u00adistry sup\u00adport glob\u00adal\u00adly for all Air Prod\u00aducts busi\u00adness\u00ades. She is going to be the company\u2019s rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive in the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia next month. Agnes is mar\u00adried, her hus\u00adband Bela is also a reg\u00adu\u00adlar attendee at the Club\u2019s meet\u00adings. They have a daugh\u00adter, Eva, cur\u00adrent\u00adly work\u00ading on her res\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy in Fam\u00adi\u00adly Med\u00adi\u00adcine. Michael Smith<\/strong> \u2014 Dr Michael A. Smith is cur\u00adrent\u00adly an Assis\u00adtant Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor in the Depart\u00adment of Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty. He received his BS in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from Lafayette Col\u00adlege, then worked in a vari\u00adety of assign\u00adments with the DuPont Com\u00adpa\u00adny for 17 years. Dr. Smith returned to school to obtain a Mas\u00adters at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty, and his PhD in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Delaware in 2004. Since he has work as a research sci\u00aden\u00adtist for an SBIR start\u00adup, and has been at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva since 2005. Ivan Baldy\u00adchev<\/strong> \u2014 Ivan Baldy\u00adchev is a Research Engi\u00adneer at DuPont Com\u00adpa\u00adny and is involved in devel\u00adop\u00ading new process\u00ades for pro\u00adduc\u00adtion of flu\u00ado\u00adro\u00adprod\u00aducts. In 2011 he received his PhD in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal and Bio\u00admol\u00ade\u00adc\u00adu\u00adlar Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Penn\u00adsyl\u00adva\u00adnia under the guid\u00adance of Prof. Ray\u00admond J. Gorte. His the\u00adsis work focused on inves\u00adti\u00adgat\u00ading the ther\u00admo\u00addy\u00adnam\u00adic prop\u00ader\u00adties of met\u00adal-oxide cat\u00ada\u00adlysts. Ivan earned his Bachelor\u2019s degree in Chem\u00adi\u00adcal Engi\u00adneer\u00ading from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Delaware. He has been a mem\u00adber of the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia since 2006.<\/p>\n

Erich Weigert<\/strong> \u2014 Erich com\u00adplet\u00aded his grad\u00adu\u00adate work at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Delaware in the depart\u00adment of Mate\u00adri\u00adals Sci\u00adence and Engi\u00adneer\u00ading. His the\u00adsis work was a study of tung\u00adsten mono-car\u00adbides as alter\u00adna\u00adtive elec\u00adtro\u00adcat\u00ada\u00adlysts for direct methanol fuel cells. After grad\u00adu\u00adat\u00ading in 2007, Erich joined John\u00adson Matthey as a prod\u00aduct devel\u00adop\u00adment sci\u00aden\u00adtist. His ini\u00adtial work focused on the design of SCR cat\u00ada\u00adlysts for diesel appli\u00adca\u00adtions. In 2008 Erich joined the light duty diesel appli\u00adca\u00adtions group in JM to con\u00adtin\u00adue devel\u00adop\u00adment work for light duty diesel on-road vehi\u00adcles.
