Since the club was found\u00aded in 1949, we con\u00adtin\u00adue the tra\u00addi\u00adtion of hold\u00ading reg\u00adu\u00adlar meet\u00adings to stim\u00adu\u00adlate dis\u00adcus\u00adsions among our fel\u00adlow catal\u00ady\u00adsis sci\u00aden\u00adtists. Your offi\u00adcers, list\u00aded on the left, have assem\u00adbled a stim\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading pro\u00adgram of activ\u00adi\u00adties for the 2010-11 sea\u00adson. We hope that you will join us by reg\u00adis\u00adter\u00ading as a mem\u00adber of the club for the new sea\u00adson and enjoy our month\u00adly tech\u00adni\u00adcal pro\u00adgram.<\/p>\n
Our tech\u00adni\u00adcal pro\u00adgrams, coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00aded by Bob Cochran will start with Dr. Chuck Coe, pre\u00advi\u00adous\u00adly at Air\u00adProd\u00aducts and cur\u00adrent\u00adly at Vil\u00adlano\u00adva Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty, win\u00adner of the Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia 2009-10 award in Sep\u00adtem\u00adber. Dr. Coe was rec\u00adog\u00adnized for his out\u00adstand\u00ading con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtion to adsorp\u00adtion sci\u00adence, catal\u00ady\u00adsis, and appli\u00adca\u00adtions of cat\u00ada\u00adlysts for organ\u00adic syn\u00adthe\u00adses. The Award was announced at the 2010 Spring Sym\u00adpo\u00adsium.<\/p>\n
Our annu\u00adal stu\u00addent poster ses\u00adsion will be coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00aded by Eliz\u00ada\u00adbeth Ross-Megaar\u00adden (Lyon\u00addell\u00adBasell Indus\u00adtries) and held in Octo\u00adber<\/strong>. Joe Fedeyko of John\u00adson Matthey will orga\u00adnize the Spring Sym\u00adpo\u00adsium in May. We will con\u00adtin\u00adue to have a brief pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion by a local grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addent or post-doc pri\u00ador to the main lec\u00adture at some of the month\u00adly meet\u00adings.<\/p>\n Dues for the new sea\u00adson will remain at $10.00 ($5.00 for the local club and $5.00 to the nation\u00adal club). Dues for stu\u00addents will be $6.00. You can pay your dues to your com\u00adpa\u00adny rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive, to our trea\u00adsur\u00ader (Steve Har\u00adris), or at the month\u00adly meet\u00adings.
