{"id":174,"date":"2010-08-23T11:24:03","date_gmt":"2010-08-23T15:24:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.catalysisclubphilly.org\/awe9a91v\/wordpress\/?p=174"},"modified":"2013-03-09T13:34:00","modified_gmt":"2013-03-09T18:34:00","slug":"graduate-student-poster-competition-call-for-abstracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/catalysisclubphilly.org\/awe9a91v\/news\/graduate-student-poster-competition-call-for-abstracts\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Student Poster Competition, Call for Abstracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is the first call for posters for the <span class=\"brand\">Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadelphia\u2019s<\/span> annu\u00adal Stu\u00addent Poster Con\u00adtest to be held <strong>Thurs\u00adday, Octo\u00adber 21, 2010<\/strong> at the Wilm\u00ading\u00adton Hol\u00adi\u00adday Inn, Naa\u00admans Rd and I-95 at 5 PM.<\/p>\n<p>To enter, please sub\u00admit a short abstract of your pro\u00adposed entry before <strong>Octo\u00adber 7, 2010<\/strong> to Eliz\u00ada\u00adbeth Ross-Medgaar\u00adden (<a href=\"mailto:elizabeth.ross-medgaarden@lyondellbasell.com\">elizabeth.\u200bross-\u200bmedgaarden@\u200blyondellbasell.\u200bcom<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>The com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adtion is restrict\u00aded to grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addents. Post-docs are wel\u00adcome to present their posters but are not eli\u00adgi\u00adble for prizes. All poster pre\u00adsen\u00adters should be list\u00aded as the first author, and will be guests of the <span class=\"brand\">Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club<\/span> for the evening. <span class=\"brand\">Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club<\/span> mem\u00adbers and guests will cast their votes for favorite poster; then a select pan\u00adel of indus\u00adtri\u00adal judges will select the 5 best posters from the top 10 posters. A total prize award of $550 will be dis\u00adtrib\u00aduted between the win\u00adners; $150 will go to the over\u00adall win\u00adner and $100 each to the 4 oth\u00ader win\u00adners. The over\u00adall win\u00adner will be invit\u00aded to present his or her work at the <span class=\"brand\">Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club\u2019s<\/span> annu\u00adal sym\u00adpo\u00adsium in May 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"brand\">Catal\u00ady\u00adsis Club of Philadel\u00adphia<\/span> is very proud of this event and views it as one of the region\u2019s pre\u00admier oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties for grad\u00adu\u00adate stu\u00addents to show\u00adcase their work with the local chem\u00adi\u00adcal indus\u00adtry pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adals.
